At Mainline Custom Clothiers we offer the professional man the opportunity to look and feel his very best in shirts that are made exclusively for him. We have worked with athletes, actors, politicians and designers and our shirts have withstood all manners of expectations and critique.

Mainline Custom Clothiers offers over 400 fabrics sourced from the finest mills around the world, any one of which can be made to fit YOU, exactly the way you like it, and styled to your exact preferences. Our shirts are made 100% right here in America with true classic hand tailoring, blending old world crafts with modern technologies.

Shirts are constructed with 16 to 20 stitches per inch on all top stitching, single needle closure with the finest interlinings available (fused and non-fused – with an array of weights), three grades of Italian imported pearl buttons from thin to triple stack thickness, hand sewn and shank wrapped. An actual signature can be digitized and monogrammed for an extra personal touch.

We offer our Imperial Make, the finest quality shirt, made with a split yoke cut on the bias to reduce puckering on front seam, a dropped yoke for added style, single needle closure, side gussets, and triple stacked hand sewn shank wrapped pearl buttons.

Looking for shirts that can be worn casually on Saturday night, or even better, with a tie to work on Thursday, but can be transformed into the perfect sport shirt for Thursday night? Check out the Harris Model. This shirt is styled with contrast options at the inside collar band, inside cuff, small sleeve facing and on the side gussets.

Also be sure to check out the pictures page where you can see creative style ideas, or any other images to help with your customers requests.

Every shirt order passes through the hands of Mel or Mitch Gambert before being passed into production. We have over 10 quality control check points, along with a great staff of skilled craftsmen and women who are dedicated to making the finest product available. Our factory mantra is that WE are ALL customer service, from the front office to the pressers and shipping department.

Measurements

Client should be completely relaxed. Posturing will affect the "lay" of finished shirt.

Neck
Place tape around base of neck (below adams apple). Measure neck snug, but not tight, then release tape 1/2" - 1" for ease.
Do NOT make any allowances for shrinkage.

Chest
Place tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, high up under the arms and over the shoulder blades. Customer’s arms should be at their side in a relaxed stance. NO posturing, as this will affect sloping on shoulders.

Waist
Have customer assume a relaxed, normal stance and place tape measure around the "shirt" waist, located below the rib cage. For customers with corpulent or portly postures, be sure to take the measure around the fullest part of waist.

Hips
Place tape measure around fullest part of hips at the hipbone. Tape should be snug.

Over Arm
(This measurement is noted in the comments area of order form). Have customer assume relaxed stance with arms by their side, place tape at same location as for chest measure, but measure over arms. If not greater than 8”, do not include.

Yoke
The yoke is measured from the outside seam, where the yoke joins the sleeve, across the top of the shoulders (below the collar) to the opposite side. The yoke should fit comfortably on the "outside edge" of the shoulders. The tape should not drop below the prominent neck bone. See illustration 2. A, B, C.

Sleeve
Place tape at halfway point of yoke measurement; use the base of prominent neck bone as guide. Customer’s arms should be at their sides, with hands balled into fists. Extend tape down the outside of arm to pinkie knuckle. Subtract 1.5 to 2 inches depending on customer’s preference. Do NOT make allowances for shrinkage.

Half Sleeve
Place tape at halfway point of yoke measurement; use the base of prominent neck bone as guide. Customer’s arms should be at their sides, measure to desired length.

Cuffs
Have customer ball hands into fist and measure around the wrist and over the wrist bone to the nearest 1/4". Add 3” to this measurement for shrinkage allowance.

Tail Length
The tail is measured vertically down the front of the shirt. Place tape measure under the collar leaf, where the front panel, yoke and collar band intersect. Measure desired length.
